Paul Fleet - poriatrist
I’m the Director of Podiatric Care at The Foot Clinic and have been with the clinic since it first opened in 1990.
My long term interests in Podiatry lie within the sports area as well as paediatrics. Career highlights have been working at the Olympic Games Village both in Sydney 2000 and in Athens 2004 and also the Melbourne Commonwealth Games where I undertook the role of clinical supervisor in the Podiatry department.
I’m a past president of Sports Medicine Australia (ACT) and the immediate past president of AAPSM, the Sports Podiatrist Academy of Australia and New Zealand. I currently have ongoing commitments with both these organisations at a national level. Recently I was awarded the NSW Podiatry Association Lifetime Achievement Award.
Outside of work you may find me on my mountain bike or on the sideline of a rugby game. |
Gabriela Luksza - podiatrist
I’ve made it back to Canberra! Originally I trained in NSW and have worked both in Victoria and South Australia for quite a few years. I enjoy all aspects of Podiatry but I have a particular interest in the biomechanics (how feet work) of children’s feet.
A very rewarding highlight of my career has been the involvement as a volunteer in “Podiatric Mission” trips to Vietnam, where I have worked predominantly with children.
Throughout my career I have continued to build on my Podiatric knowledge and have a fellowship with the Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Podiatry.
I can now enjoy being closer to family and partake in Canberra’s enviable lifestyle advantages, cycle paths, cafes and very few traffic jams!! |
Samuel Abdelmalek - podiatrist
After growing up in Melbourne, and then living on the beautiful southwest coast of Victoria, I now love my new lifestyle as a Canberran, and being a part of the team at The Foot Clinic.
Apart from looking at feet, I still enjoy watching my Aussie rules football (maybe I should have kept that quiet), rugby league and tennis – and now that I’ve got myself a Brumbies jersey, I may have to add rugby union to that list!
Go the Eagles, go the Storm and go the Brumbies! |
Ryan Twist - podiatrist
Originally from New Zealand but raised in Melbourne, I have moved to sunny Canberra to pursue my passion for Podiatry and sport. My degree has taken me to places all over Australia and the world including Newcastle, Glasgow and London where I was able to gain new exciting experiences and broaden my horizons in Podiatry.
I have a key passion for adventure activities, cricket, hockey, rugby, soccer, travelling the globe, surfing, snowboarding, cooking and keeping fit. I have been lucky enough to represent my state in cricket and hockey, as well as for Scotland at a first class level.
In my spare time you will most likely find me cooking up a storm in the kitchen (or at least trying to!). I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead of my new life in Canberra. |
Matthew Hotchikis - podiatrist
I’m a Canberra born person who has a passion for both Podiatry and Hockey.
After finishing off my podiatry degree from the University of Western Sydney I returned to Canberra to work as a Podiatrist. While totally enjoying the Podiatry work I was unable to refuse an offer to play hockey in Belgium in a semi –professional capacity. I’m back now and still enjoying playing hockey for the ACT “Lakers”, but more importantly enjoying the teamwork and focus on sports Podiatry here at The Foot Clinic. |
Dale Gooding - podiatrist
Kia Ora!, My Name is Dale, and I hail from Auckland’s sunny North Shore in “New Zeelund”.
After gaining my degree in Podiatry, I travelled to New Zealands not so sunny, but rather windy…..and rainy Palmerston North to further my knowledge in Military Medicine and Military Biomechanics.
My passions in podiatry are both sports biomechanics and footwear technology.
I’m a sports nut, and when I’m not looking at feet, I can be found watching Basketball, League, Cricket and Union, as the Ambo’s in NZ has officially retired me from all sports …….apparently they got sick of picking me up from my games every Saturday! My other Hobbies include reading anything on history (I think I have read almost everything on Horatio Nelson) and bringing music into disrepute by playing my guitar….which is still in NZ.
Go the Warriors, Go the Rabbits, Go the Breakers and last but not least GO THE AB’S!!!!! |
Adam King - receptionist
Born and raised in Queanbeyan, I have now been a part of the team at The Foot Clinic for 15 months after spending the previous 5 years working in the Public Service. Prior to my public service experience I was the manager at The Athletes Foot store, helping people get the right fit with the right shoe. I have played sport my entire life and have been lucky enough to represent both NSW and the ACT in Basketball, Athletics and Rowing.
Nowadays my time is devoted to being both a husband and dad, spending time with my beautiful wife and daughter, Sabrena and Scarlett. Scarlett is 3 years old and sure keeps me on my toes. When I have some free time (quite rare) I still play Basketball as well as watching sport including WWE Wrestling, Rugby League and whatever else is on at the time. Go Wests Tigers! |

Four years ago, My husband and I moved from Durban, South Africa to Canberra with our 2 children. We are excited to be here and love Australia and all it has to offer.
I am a trained aerobic and indoor cycling instructor and although I do not participate in there activities anymore, I will always have a passion for health, nutrition and fitness. I also enjoy shopping and yoga, but most of all people!
I fit into The Foot Clinic really well due to my interest in foot care and my previous experience as a receptionist. |

We settled in the ACT back in 1995. I have two boys, Daniel 15yrs and Thomas 13yrs.During the 2000 Olympics, I worked with the International Media.
My family and I have just returned from living in PNG for a year. During my spare time (who has spare time with kids), I enjoy walking, swimming and watching my husband and boys play baseball. |
June Copeman - practice manager
I’ve been with the practice since it’s beginning in 1990 and have been an integral part in its establishment. My focus is on facilitating improvements for both our customers as well as our team. My background extends from being an Occupational Therapist and after taking on more administrative duties with the practice I completed my Diploma in Practice Management in 1995.
From time to time I’m also called on to help other practices throughout Australia. In my “real” spare time you will more than likely find me out on the golf course improving my swing and enjoying the exercise. |
